PATRICIA Brand Apricot fruit crate label was once used by the Santa Clara Valley Fruit and Produce Co., San Jose, California. The Union Litho. Co., inc., San Francisco; designed and produced this Stone Lithograph fruit box poster showing three plump apricots with stem and leaves. Very Good condition on this old rare label considering it was retrieved from the packing house floor back in the 1960's. Custom framed in copper and glass. It measures approx. 4 x 11 inches. A collectible vintage California Fruit Crate Label rescued from a fruit packing shed in San Jose in the 1960's just as the packinghouse was being torn down. Thanks to Mr. Ivo Nuth who explains that the correct pronunciation of the word "Apricot" is "APE' Ree cot". Apparently there has been some confusion.
We have custom framed this vintage advertising apricot fruit label in copper and glass. This advertising collectible represents the early days before Silicon Valley. This vintage California Fruit Crate Label was rescued from a fruit packing shed in San Jose in the 1960's just as the packinghouse was being torn down. The labels saved at the time were quite old and had been stuffed into an old leather suitcase and shuffled off to an unused corner of the fruit packing shed. The packing house came down within the week.
