TWINS Cute Boy and Girl on this Original Vegetable Crate Box Label from Watsonville, California [CUSTOM FRAMED]

Twins Cute blond boy and girl in their 1920's Swim Suits look happily from this scarce lettuce box label used by M.L. Kalich & Co. of Watsonville, CA. This is one large head of lettuce they've found! It looks like they're tickling their toes in a field of blue flowers and grasses. This fine old vegetable label was created by "Crocker-Union" Litho., San Francisco. "Trademark Registered U.S. Pat. Office NO. 387321 May 13, 1941". This old vegetable print produce label was lithographed during a time when lead, cobalt and other compounds were often introduced as a part of the ink used to make the images brilliant, vivid and colorful. Custom framed. Measures 7 x 9 3/4 inches. This is a unique collectible, vintage wall-hanging art piece/old poster label. "Only California has a months-long flower festival tht rolls slowly northward 400 miles through our deserts. Starting in February, flower fanciers flock to the Anza-Borrego Desert State Park to take in the glory. The Anza-Borrego stretches from the San Bernardino County line to the Mexican border, and includes 500 miles of roads that wind past desert hills carpeted with flowers. But to really experience the blossoms, take a hike. Lazy flower fans can wander the desert flower garden near the visitors center. Those up for a longer walk should try the "Eden-like" Hellhole Canyon. Along the trail, you'll see"chia, with its small spheres of purple-blue," as well as "the fuzzy white popcorn flower." The trail passes two sets of waterfalls, each with a palm shaded oasis." L.A. TIMES 2005
